DIMENSIONS OF TORONTO
Curated by Mason Smart at the Window Box Gallery, Carrier Bag Collective members Abby Kettner, Liz DeCoste, and Iris Adrienne Langlois-Smith showcased artworks exploring urban landscapes and relationships to the city.
“Within Dimensions of Toronto: Looking Otherwise with Nature, many of the pieces are ephemeral [...] especially pointed to through their translucency [...] This is a foreign yet familiar world, making the viewer a visitor in their own habitual “Toronto-space”, here made alien, made soft and precarious. Ephemera can be a counterpart to the literal and figurative concrete.”

In conjunction with the show, Carrier Bag Collective and Mason Smart hosted a two-part workshop.
Friends and community members were encouraged to “look otherwise” at the city through a series of scavenger hunt questions which culminated in flat lay assemblages with collected objects. The next day, printed copies of the collages were wheatpasted around Parkdale.
