INTRO TO NEEDLE-FELTING

Collective member Jay Clarke faciliatated an “Intro to Needle Felting” workshop at Morning Parade Coffee Bar on Dundas St. W, Toronto, in winter 2024.

Jay began the event by showing their 2022 stop motion film Mangos with my Mom featuring entirely needle-felted props. Following the screening, participants were given a presentation of the fundamentals of needle-felting and a tutorial for creating basic shapes. 

Guests had the opportunity to experiment with the medium, while learning important foundational felting techniques. All attendees left with a zine made by Jay, outlining the basics of needle felting, and their own felted creation.
